I seriously love our Children’s Museum and their store is one of my favorite places to shop. Among the awesome assortment of educational and fun toys are the Ogosport Mini OgoDisks. These frisbee type disks are great for a fun outdoor activity to keep kids active and giggling.

Ogosport Mini OgoDisks are so much fun to play with people or by yourself. I spent a bit of time in my house trying not to let the ball hit the ground. It was pretty good exercise actually! My kids spend time trying to at least hit it in the air twice…so far that has only happened once for the Gentleman.

The disks are made with an EVA foam ring and nylon-spandex mesh in the middle. It’s like a mini trampoline for a ball. The ball is just fun…so much fun and is basically a Koosh ball from the 90’s…which is just awesome for me anyway.2014-12-20 15.29.51-5 copy

The disks can be used to play with the ball or as a frisbee. They can go just as far as any frisbee I’ve ever thrown but they seem a bit easier to throw for the kids. My son likes to throw it up in the air too and catch it that way…well try to catch it that way.

My husband decided to try to play catch and pass…well I have no idea what to call it. Basically you bounce the ball in the air towards the other person and then throw the disk like a frisbee to them. They have to catch the disk and then bounce the ball back and throw the disk back. Seems impossible but he and our nephew DID do it a few times.

My kids tried playing with each other, by themselves and with their Daddy…it was hilarious but they are not very good yet. They did have a LOT of fun and were spending so much energy outside. Even with it being chilly they wanted to keep playing! I think they were warm from chasing the ball when it dropped.

I like to try to use one disk and keep the ball up in the air. It is a fun and great way to get some exercise in. Add in a little music and it gets even more fun! My nephew likes to use both disks and keep the ball up while trying to do cool tricks like behind his back or flipping the disk over to hit the ball. He does pretty good and it looks pretty cool.

There are so many ways you can play with these things and if you add another set more people can play for more fun! Here are a few ways we play.
