We homeschool and love museums! Also, love zoos, aquariums, art museums, botanical gardens and national parks. During our travels we try to see as much as we can while also trying to learn. I created a few booklets that my kids fill out when we go to these places so they learn at least a little something while also having fun!
Just having your child look at artifacts or animals is fun but having them find out more information about these things is better on an educational level and also helps them remember. Since we started traveling we have been taking every Thursday to try to do something fun AND educational. Well, I put education into what ever we are doing and it usually is fun.
I created 3 booklets, one for artifacts that you can use for museums, science centers, national parks or anywhere there are artifacts to see, touch and learn about. Another is for animals at a zoo, an aquarium, farm or even a pet store. Anywhere there are animals you can fill this booklet out. I also created one for art. You can use it for art museums, street art, galleries, fashion items, just anything that makes it art.
There are questions in each booklet pertaining to the topic but they are broad enough to be used for many different things. I am selling them on Teachers Pay Teachers and the store link is —–>HERE<—– They are $3.00 each or all 3 for $7.00. You can reprint them as often as you like and while I prefer that you pay for every copy someone gets I really have no control (and can’t blame you) if you share it with others.
Hopefully you enjoy them as much as we have! Have a great Adventure!
