The Indianapolis Children’s Museum has a long history of providing fun, engaging and informative exhibits for kids and adults alike. On Saturday, March 17th 2018 their next permanent exhibit opens: the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience!
The Children’s Museum has really gone all out for this exhibit – except it’s not just an exhibit, it’s a brand new addition to the entire Children’s Museum! It contains 12 permanent outdoor exhibits that cover Indiana’s most popular sports along with 3 additional indoor sports-related exhibits.
The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience combines rich sports history, physical fitness, and health education in a variety of family-fun, indoor and outdoor experiences. Run, drive, jump, putt, and play while learning how to stay happy, healthy, and safe. Meet a legendary sports character every visit, hear their story of greatness, and get coached in the drills and skills that helped them succeed. Imagine yourself in the shoes of that same sports legend, and start your story today.
This addition has been a huge undertaking by the Children’s Museum and has sponsors from some of the great sports franchises around the city: the Colts, Pacers, Fever and Fuel are all represented and help provide an authentic sports experience for all ages. Reading about this addition can’t come close to doing it justice – check out this video to really understand what this experience entails:
