“Boss Monster 2: The Next Level” is a card game where you’re the Boss at the end of a dungeon that you are building with the cards that you get. You build a dungeon, cast spells and fight heroes that come through your dungeon trying to defeat you, the boss. How awesome is that!?
This game is number two of the boss monsters series and like in the first boss monsters number two also has some great art. What I like about it is it looks like an old video game like a classic 8 or 16 bit video game. Though there are some good similarities between the first and second Boss Monster, there are also some differences.
For example, one thing that’s different is in the first one you’d have to get rid of some cards before your first turn, but in Boss Monster 2 that’s not the case. Instead you just reveal the amount of heroes equal to the amount of players playing the game and build your dungeon.
Another difference is some of the boss level up abilities are continuous for the rest of the game. In the first Boss Monster all abilities only happen once.
There’s a lot to like about this game from the way it looks to the way it’s played, for example I like the fact that you’re the bad guy in this game and you get to build a dungeon to beat the heros.
This is a really fun game for all ages. My uncle and I like playing this with each other, and i just introduced this game to my 12 year old brother and 10 year old cousin and they love playing it too.
Every time my cousin is over he always asks to play. The Gentleman can also play and loves it! He’s 7 going to be 8 soon…going on 13…
Building a dungeon, being the bad guy, fighting heroes, casting spells, trust me when i say that this game is lots of fun, but I’m pretty sure you know the amount of fun you’ll have after reading this amazing review. So drop whatever you’re doing and go out and buy Boss Monsters 2.
The Boss Monster series is fantastic and one of our families’ favorite games. I have the Steam Version of Boss Monster too and play it all the time…I don’t win much but I still like playing.
Great review and thanks for the giveaway, now I realy want to try this game! 😀
