It’s Gen Con time! This year for Gen Con we’re doing something a little different: over the next four days (the Best Four Days!) we’ll be highlighting five of our favorite family game companies to showcase their awesomeness! Yes 5…because I want to that’s why. Next up is Blue Orange Games!
Blue Orange Games was founded in 2000 and since then has been creating engaging games for all ages. Those games are both high in quality and fun and are a huge hit at our game nights. While some of their games are more straight-forward like Top That others like Vikings on Board require much deeper planning and strategy. This means no matter what kind of game you’re in the mood for, Blue Orange probably has what you’re looking for.
We’ve been fortunate to have worked with Blue Orange a number of times over the last few years. A few of our favorite games include:
Blue Orange Games has created another fabulous game! Battle Sheep is one of those games that doesn’t take long to set up, play or learn and is super fun for pretty much any age. Move your stack of sheep across the board leaving one or more behind to cover the most space on the pasture. Watch out though as other players can block your whole stack in a small area!
Gigamons is a new game by Blue Orange Games and a new family favorite. It is a brilliant twist on memory that your whole family will want to play over and over again…and love every second. Flip 2 Elemon tiles and if they match collect them. Collect 3 to get a Gigamon and get 3 Gigamons to win!
New York 1901
New York 1901 is a city building tile placement game set in…New York…1901. The idea for this game is beautiful because not only do you place tiles to build Skyscrapers but you will actually demolish existing tiles on the board with shiny new tiles…don’t worry you get points for the tiles you placed first AND tiles that take their place!
Check them out at #GenCon2017 or pick up their products on their web site or from your local game store.
