Who hasn’t heard of the Great Amazing Race! I mean granted I didn’t watch the TV Show really but I knew it looked awesome! A race to get to the next area to find a clue and complete the activity and then off you go again! Looked like so much fun and apparently Flying Color Sports thought so too because they made a Kid friendly version! We get to do the Great Amazing Race here in Indy! But they do offer it in other cities if you don’t live here.

Modeled after the popular television show “THE AMAZING RACE“, teams of two people (adults & kids grades K-12) race around a one-mile cross course in competition with other teams, completing a string of up to eight fun-filled challenges. Clue Cards provided at each station directs teams to perform a task (game, relay, obstacle course, etc.) that requires teamwork, before proceeding to the next challenge station. Contestants strive to arrive at the finish line with the fastest overall time to be declared winners.

My son, the Gentleman, and I are signed up and so excited to participate in this race. We usually do the 5k fun runs which we like but this looks like so much more. Performing different tasks like obstacles, messiness and teamwork just sounds like a great time to spend with my soon to be Kindergartener.

When you sign you and your kid (or another adult) up don’t forget to put my name (Sandy -My Geeklings) in the “How did you hear about the Race?” box. We will BOTH get $5.00 off merchandise at the race. See you there!

“The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.”
